About us...

We started as a contracting company specializing residential buildings and remodelling. Through the years working as contractors, we have personally found many egress windows in which children would be trapped in the home if there were an emergency such as fire. We have found egress window wells with solidly mounted covers that could not be opened and covers much too heavy for the average child to lift. If we can save one childs life with our product and service, we feel our mission has been accomplished. Covering an egress window well is necessary to prevent children and animals from falling into the well and getting hurt, but that cover should not become a death sentence for children in the case of a fire. Through the years of working on homes which pose this hazard to their children we have developed "The Grate Escape" as the best solution to provide a sturdy cover covering the windo well and providing an escape for children.
